The story of SDPS begins in 1987, when the Agrawal brothers — Shri Umesh Kumar Agarwal and Shri Sudesh Kumar Agarwal — opened a modest wholesale counter in Agra's bustling Malka Bazar, trading in pure Amul ghee and Skimmed Milk Powder. The firm was named after the family patriarch, Shri Durga Prasad.
On 1st March 1993 the firm was formally registered as M/S Shree Durga Prasad & Sons, a proprietorship under Shri Sudesh Kumar Agarwal. Since then, Sudesh has led the wholesale dairy venture single-handedly, while his elder brother Umesh stewards the family's other ventures — real estate, marble and road construction. Together, the two brothers have grown the Agrawal name into an Agra landmark.
Over the next three decades, the flagship dairy business grew from that single counter into one of North India's most trusted wholesale houses — now distributing 30+ brands across three godowns totalling 16,000 sq. m of warehousing with consistent year-on-year growth. To build deeper industry ties, Shri Sudesh Kumar Agarwal travelled to peer markets in Morena and Hyderabad and continues to serve as the elected General Secretary (Mahamantri) of the Agra Desi Ghee Association.
The success of SDPS enabled the family to diversify into real estate (2002), premium marble (2015) and government road construction (2017). Today, as the next generation joins the firm, we honour the founders' discipline — uncompromising purity, genuine stock, ethical trade — while embracing digitisation, e-invoicing and e-auctions.

The firm is formally registered on 1st March 1993 as M/S Shree Durga Prasad & Sons, a proprietorship under Shri Sudesh Kumar Agarwal. Sudesh assumes full leadership of the dairy venture; elder brother Umesh takes charge of the family's other ventures.
The family launched its real-estate arm, building Agra Development Authority (ADA) approved residential colonies and commercial complexes.
Premium marble trading division launched, sourcing from renowned domestic and international quarries.
Partnership firm EM KAY DEE incorporated for government road construction. SDPS obtained GST registration (09ACUPA9677K1ZN) effective 1st July 2017.
Shri Sudesh Kumar Agarwal elected General Secretary (Mahamantri) of the Agra Desi Ghee Association under Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal for the 2021-24 term.
Firm migrated to Union Bank internet banking, launched e-invoicing, registered on Amul Dairy Trade auctions (State & H.O.) and the NCDFI eMarket platform.
Second-generation promoter Anuj Agrawal (PGDM-E, EDII Ahmedabad) joins the firm, leading export exploration, B2B platform listings and operational modernisation.
